About this cartoon: While President Obama has been negotiating, along with other world leaders, with Iran to reach a deal to prevent that nation from building nuclear weapons, Republicans in Congress have rejected the deal before any agreement is even in place. A group of 47 Republican senators signed an "open letter" to the leadership of Iran, warning them that the deal could be undone as soon as Obama leaves office and/or by actions of Congress. Considering that the Executive Branch has sole authority to negotiate with world leaders, the senators' grandstanding action is shocking, unprecedented and, quite possibly, treasonous.
